How to Get Healthy Again

Sometimes you experience a period in life in which you eat less healthy. You notice that your body has become bigger and your intestines do not feel happy. The consequences that you experience are stomach ache, fatigue, dizziness, headache and poor overall condition. You know now is the time to act on it. But here is the thing, you just do not know where to start.

Start slowly

You have tried several diets and they all ended the same: first you lose a lot of weight, but then you start to gain more than you initially lost. That can be very frustrating. However, instead of giving up, you are still willing to try, but this time you seek a way that actually works. Just start slowly. Forget the idea that you need to lose seven pounds per week, because that is not healthy at all. If you want to lose weight in a healthy way, you will need to lose one pound per month  at most. So please do not starve yourself, because it will only have an opposite effect.

Drop the sugars 

Refined sugars are not doing your body any favors. They can hurt your teeth, they can make you become aggressive and they will slowly kill your body. When you crave a cookie, just eat fruit or nuts. When you do that for about three weeks, you will notice that the cravings will become less. Sure fruit contains sugars as well, but it has so many advantages for your body. And of course the same goes for vegetables. When you eat green beans, you will feel less hungry. All vegetables and fruits have their own qualities. Make sure you eat the unpacked items as much as possible and choose biological food. Eat fish like salmon or mackerel.

Act on it!

Your body will not get a good condition by itself. You will have to work for it. And that does not mean you will have to push yourself to the edge. For example with a few walks during the week and build it up the next week. And of course, keep track of your weight. You can use a segmental body composition monitor for it. This scale can help you define your body fat, heart rate, muscle quality and so much more. But simpler types of scales like Tanita bathroom scales, are also good enough to keep track of your weight. You can do it!
